Felipe Fonseca, also known as Fon, is a 28 years old creative and film director, born and raised in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil. For the last couple of years, he has been featured in a few festivals and editorials, as booooooom and the 45th yearbook of the Creation Club of São Paulo.
At 17, he was a business partner and founder of Estúdio 172 alongside Rafael Skraba. Together, they created this independent creative and film studio that reached the mark of 25 million views on YouTube, with the original project Estúdio 172 sessions, bringing different artists from the Brazilian music scene.
From 2018 until 2019, he directed original content and advertising at Asteroide, a film company based in his hometown, with more than 20 Cannes Lions on its shelf.
In 2020, he became creative director for Jovem Dionisio, the number one Brazilian band on the billboard in 2022, with the album Acorda Pedrinho, which he creatively directed. With hits and videoclips such as Pontos de Exclamação and Algum Ritmo, the band has already performed all over Brazil and Europe.
The most recent venture was the feature film Cor, by Anavitória, which brings together—across more than 20 cans of 16mm negatives—a live concert and a few documentary vignettes. The film was ranked as the 7th highest-rated music documentary on Letterboxd in 2024 and was screened in over 11 cinemas across capital cities in Brazil. Shortly after, they worked on Esquinas, Ana and Vitória’s fourth studio album—a project that resulted in a full-length visual album and the creative direction of the album’s integrated release campaign.
Fon was the finalist at Ciclope Latino, Berlin Commercial and Music Video Festival (mvfbr) as “new director” and won the prize at Los Angeles Indie Short Fest as “Best Music Video.”
